Combined Session #IPE556, Sowing Seeds for Migrant Healthcare: An Inter professional Service Learning Outreach

DESCRIPTION
Attracting qualified health professionals to medically underserved rural areas is of prime importance to AHECs. The Farm Worker Family Health Program (FWFHP) is an interprofessional collaboration of 5 universities, 2 regional AHECS and many rural community partners. This program will be presented as a useful model for others to emulate.

Combined Session #IPE735, Interprofessional Education: A Collaborative Approach for Health Professions Students

DESCRIPTION
This presentation will describe a collaborative effort to develop an IPE experience for behavioral health, mental health and public health students towards the end of developing a cadre of health professionals capable of working together to ensure positive outcomes for individuals and their communities.
