NC AHEC has historically been a role model for being on the cutting edge in forecasting healthcare change. Presenters will share collaborative models for impacting protocols, processes, placements and practices. This effort has been accomplished through engagement of competitive organizations and professionals to mutually improve the health of NC citizens.

Assoiciate Director, Nursing, Wake AHEC
Sherika HiSmith George is the Associate Director of Nursing Education at Wake Area Health Education Center located in Raleigh, NC. Her primary roles and responsibilities revolve around program planning and implementation of continuing professional education. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Public Health with a focus in Public Health Policy and Program from the University of South Florida.
